Welcome. I’m Rachel Moss (she/her), a compassionate and experienced therapist, supervisor, manager, trainer, and educator with a deep commitment to human rights and social justice. With over 25 years of clinical experience, I have worked across a variety of settings including sexual assault, higher education, and mental health. A career highlight was working as a senior counsellor at the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, where I supported individuals navigating the trauma of institutional abuse.

I have been working solely in private practice with adult clients as a therapist and clinical supervisor for more than seven years. I am currently working with dear colleagues in a small trauma focussed practice in Enmore, NSW.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Counselling and I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. I am proficient in a range of modalities, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), group work, and clinical supervision. My therapeutic approach is rooted in client-focused collaboration and empowerment, with an evolving integration of somatic practices to support holistic healing. I am IFS informed.

At the heart of my practice is a client-focused, collaborative approach, which fosters empowerment, trust, and a shared commitment to the healing journey. An Intersectional feminist framework is at the core of my interventions. Professional humility informs my belief that no two experiences of trauma are the same, and that healing requires listening deeply, learning continuously, and honouring each person’s individual path.

My clinical expertise spans trauma in all its forms—developmental, single-incident, and complex trauma—and I work with individuals of all cultures, sexual orientations and gender identities. I also support clients who experience self-harm, depression and anxiety, relationship and sexuality challenges, grief and loss, neurominority, chronic pain and interpersonal difficulties. I bring a unique, personal understanding of the healing process, grounded in the healing literature, my professional experience and the latest in neuroscience research.

I provide trauma-specific clinical supervision to colleagues in various professional settings, focusing on supporting them to deliver excellent clinical care while maintaining their own well-being and resilience. This work involves mentoring and supporting other counsellors as they establish and grow their own private practices. I enjoy guiding fellow professionals through the challenges and opportunities of running their own practice, helping them navigate business logistics, client care, and professional development. I offer tailored guidance to ensure other counsellors feel confident and supported as they embark on this hugely rewarding journey.

I am a strong advocate for social justice and decolonisation. I acknowledge the sovereignty of all First Nations Peoples and pay respect to Elders, past and present. I honour the resistance and survival of First Nations Peoples, as the longest continuing culture in the world, and am I dedicated to supporting justice for First Nations communities through my work.
